Announcing: Doody's to Welcome Publisher Nominations for Doody's Core Titles 2026

Press release

Monday, September 22 – Oak Park, IL

Doody Enterprises, Inc. is excited to share an open call for publisher nominations for its 2026 edition of Doody’s Core Titles.

Doody’s Core Titles is the annual list of the most distinguished and important titles in the health sciences used as a collection development tool in libraries around the world. The 2026 edition will be the 23rd of its kind and the first ever to involve publisher nominations.

Over the summer, the Doody’s Library Board of Advisors approved a measure to include publisher nominations as part of the Doody’s Core Titles 2026 selection process.

“We’ve long held that Doody’s is like a stool with three legs supporting it,” says Tim Butzen, Doody’s Chief Operating Officer. “We have the librarians, we have the health professionals, and we have the publishers and other library service providers. Since its inception, DCT has only involved the insights of the former two groups. We're excited now to invite the publishers responsible for bringing these books to market to have a voice.”

Nominations will be accepted this fall from October 6 to November 21. Details on the nomination process will be available soon. Doody’s Core Titles 2026 is scheduled for publication in May 2026.
