Oak Park, IL – Doody Enterprises is thrilled to announce the publication of the 2025 edition of Doody’s Core Titles®. Doody’s Core Titles, now in its 22nd year, is an essential collection development tool for health science librarians. Every year, over 200 content specialists and librarians select the titles that are included in that edition of Doody’s Core Titles. To learn more about the process, click HERE.
The 2025 list identifies 2,437 unique titles across 126 health sciences specialties that have been deemed core to health sciences library collections. These titles represent over 100 unique publishers and have been selected for their premier adherence to strict collection development criteria, including quality of content, scope and coverage, and authoritativeness, among others. Of these titles, 481 have been deemed “essential” meaning that they are highly recommended for libraries with limited budgets.
In addition to retaining sweeping changes made last year, Doody’s Core Titles 2025 ushers in two completely new specialties: Osteopathic Medicine and Health Humanities. More about these important changes can be found HERE.
Doody’s Core Titles is available in two versions — Basic and Premium. While DCT Basic is the full title list, with individual scores and Essential Purchase recommendations in 126 specialties, DCT Premium includes all of the DCT Basic features plus full review and Star Ratings of any titles reviewed in Doody’s Review Service — usually more than 1,000 expert reviews.
